A show by Emmaline Zanelli in collaboration with Good Bank Gallery and its skipper, Henry Jock.
Emmaline's exhibition 'Semaphore' brings together a collection of the artist's photographs from the past eight years, as well as new works made specifically for the exhibition.
Zanelli’s photographs form part of a broader artistic practice that encompasses performance, installation, and film. It’s a practice underpinned by an experimental, considered and instinctual approach, in which episodes of backyard science collapse into humour and transform into unexpected elegance. Often the images capture a moment of either poise or expiration, a moment in which pressure and gravity have had their way.
